NO 2 MECHANICAL TRANSPORT SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Formed on August 17, 1940 as No. 2 M.T. Transport Company and renamed on March 1, 1954.

Official blazon

An elephant proper passant carrying with the trunk a log Or.
Motto: Quocumque quidvehere veletis = Wherever you may wish to carry something.

Origin/meaning

The Elephant symbolises the Heavy Transport Role and the golden Log the importance of the Load carried. The badge was granted in May 1957.
