The Trident symbolises that the Squadron was jointly staffed by Royal Navy and Royal Air Force Personnel, and therefore symbolise the RN part.<br>
The Moth uses ultra.sonic electronic countermeasures to confuse predatory Bats, and thus symbolises the Electronic Warfare Role of the Squadron.<br>
The Badge was approved in September 1973.
