A demi winged lion erased azure.
Origin/meaning
The Lion was used by the Squadron as a Badge longtime before it was officially approved. It it thought to allude to the Napier Lion Motors that powered the Aircraft the Squadron was then equipped with. The Badge was approved in October 1936.
