History: Formed at the Falkland Islands in 1985.
Official blazon
Badge: A Cara Cara Eagle volant to the sinister clutching in its talons two lightning flashes in saltire.
Motto: Caleum australe quaerite = search the southern skies.
Origin/meaning
The Cara Cara Eagle is a call sign and a local bird of prey. The Lightnings symbolises the Radar Role. The Badge was granted in July 1986. Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
