NO 806 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1940 at Royal Naval Air Station Worthy Down (HMS Ariel), Hampshire as a Fighter Squadron and served in HMS Indomitable in 1942. The Squadron reformed at the end of the Second Word War with Seafires 1945-1947.

English Per fess wavy and barry wavy of six white and blue; issuant from base a dexter cubit arm in pale armoured proper grasping a flash of lightning in bend gold.

Motto: Sursum in pugnam.
