NO 895 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1942 at Royal Naval Station Stretton (HMS Blackcap), Warrington, as a Hawher Sea Hurricane Squadron. Reformed at Royal Naval Air Station Brawdy, Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1956 with Hawker Sea Hawk, but disbanded later that Year.

English

White; upon barry wavy of six blue and white two winged swords gold in saltire surmounted by a peregrine proper belled silver and perched on a cubit arm fesswise sleeved and gauntleted gold. Motto: Sicut falco expeditus.

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates as "Ready like a Hawk". The Badge was approved on 14 December 1956.
