Origin/meaning

The Role of this Signals unit, to sense and warn, is represented by the watching Stag which is acknowledged to quicly communicate a warning of Danger to its Fellows. The Badge has also been used by Signals Command. The Motto translates as”To conquer the upper air”. The Badge was approved in February 1950.
