OBERHALBSTEIN DISTRICT

Canton : Graubünden

Wappen von Oberhalbstein (district)/Arms (crest) of Oberhalbstein (district)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The point in the base of the shield symbolises the name, Oberhalb des Steines, or Above the stones. The fleur-de-lis is taken from the seal of the local hero Benedikt Fortuna from the late 15th century.
The old seals of the district showed the ibex from the arms of Graubünden with the St. Mary as supporter.
