OBERNBERG AM BRENNER
State : Tirol
District : Innsbruck-Land
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 22, 1973.
The arms are derived from a local legend about a golden set of cones, which is buried somewhere in the mountains, guarded by a mountain giant (Bergkönig). It symbolises the importance of mining in historical times for the village.
