Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 7, 1990.

The main charge in the arms is a historical charcoal oven, as historically the production of charcoal was of great importance for the local economy. The importance declined during the 19^th century. The rainbow symbolises the fact that rainbows are very common in the area. At the same time the rainbow symbolises the importance of recreation and tourism in the region.
