Wappen von Obertürkheim/Arms (crest) of Obertürkheim
Official blazon
German blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The oldest known seal of the village dates from the late 19th century and shows a cross, over which is placed a wheel, most likely in silver on a red field. In 1902 this combination was misinterpreted by the local council as a wheel. When the council needed a new seal in 1904 the above arms were proposed and adopted. The wheel was also explained as a symbol for the local industry.
