Origin/meaning

The arms were designed in 1976.

The two keys are taken from the arms of the Abbey of Remiremont, as the Abbey had for many centuries possessions and influence in the village. The dog is taken from the arms of the Abbey of Murbach, to which the area historically belonged.

The waves in base are a canting element, Oderen,or Adern in the local German dialect, means river beds.
