The arms were officially granted on June 15, 2012.

The red and silver refer to the Prüm Abbey, to which the village belonged in medieval times. The ax and hook are carpenter tools and refer to St. Joseph, the local patron saint.

The base shows a canting elm (Olme/Ulme) branch with three seeds, which refer to the main village and the three hamlets/settlements in the municipality. The hills refer to the landscape in the municipality.
