Een schild, dwars door midden gedeeld, waarvan het bovenste van zwart, beladen met drie visschen en in de regter bovenhoek van de letter L, alles van goud; het onderste gedeelte van zilver.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 28, 1819.

The arms are those of the Van Volden family. The family owned the village in the 18th century. To distinguish the arms with those of Strijtem, a letter L was added.
