-In Silber auf rotem Sockel eine rote Burg mit zwei spitzbedachten Zinnentürmen und niedrigerem giebelartigem Mittelturm, beiderseits und unten umschlossen von einer runden, nach außen umgeklappten roten Zinnenmauer.
-====Origin/meaning====
 The arms were granted in 1959.
 The arms are based on the oldest seal of the city, dating from the 14<sup>th</sup> century. The seal showed a castle on a small hill. In the present arms the wheel replaced the hill and symbolises industry. The colours are derived from the colours of the State of [[Strasbourg]], to which the city historically belonged.
