Azure, an open book proper, edged and garnished Or, leathered gules, pendent from the dexter side thereof seven seals gold, the pages inscribed 'In principio erat. verbum et verbum erat apud Deum', the whole between three open crowns also gold.

The inscription of the book has varied from time to time; it currently reads 'Dominus illuminatio mea'.
