Official blazon

Van goud met een zoom van azuur. In het schildhart een schildje van zilver, beladen met een zoom van azuur en met een leeuw van keel, gewapend, getongd en gekroond van goud. Het schild getopt met een kroon van vijf fleurons en gehouden door twee luipaarden van natuurlijke kleur, het hoofd naar voren gekeerd.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 12, March 1, 1962.

The arms are those of the Thiennes family, who acquired the village in 1687. Their arms also appear on the only known seal of the village, dating from the 18th century.
