German In Schwarz über drei zwei zu eins gestellten goldenen Bienen schwebend ein silberner Schlägel und ein silbernes Eisen mit goldenen Griffen in schräger Kreuzung.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 21, 1919.

The black field and the tools indicate the importance of the coal mining in the town. The bees symbolise the bee-keeping which was very common in the beginning of the century. The bees also indicate the zeal of the labourers.
