Official blazon:
Escudo de verde, um barco rabelo mastreado e encordoado de negro, realçado de ouro e vestido de prata, vogando sobre cinco faixetas ondadas de prata e azul; o barco acompanhado em chefe de dois cachos de uvas de púrpura sustidos e folhados de ouro. Coroa mural de cinco torres de prata. Listel branco, com os dizeres: " CIDADE DO PESO DA RÉGUA ", de negro.

The arms were officially granted on November 11, 1986.
