Un scut scartelat pieziș. În primul cartier, pe fond roșu, o floare-de-colț (floarea-reginei), de argint. În cartierele doi și trei, pe fond de azur, câte un brad natural. În ultima partițiune, pe roșu, o carte deschisă, naturală, pe care broșează două ciocane încrucișate, negre. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală formată din cinci turnuri crenelate de argint.

The arms were officially granted on September 27, 1999.

The firs and the edelweiss flower evoke the mountainous of the area; the open book recalls the existence in this municipality of the only institute in the country that prepares staff with higher education in the field of mining industry; the two crossed hammers highlight the medieval tradition of mining.

The mural crown, sign of the urban centers, speaks about the unity of the community.
