State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis ) : Karlsruhe
Additions : 1974 Berghausen, Kleinsteinbach, Söllingen, Wöschbach

Wappen von Pfinztal/Arms (crest) of Pfinztal
Official blazon
German In geteiltem und oben gespaltenem Schild vorn in Gold ein roter Schrägbalken, hinten in Blau ein geschliffenes, silbernes Kreuz, unten in Blau ein silberner Brückenbogen an der Teilungslinie.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 13, 1975.

As the arms of the previous municipalities could not be combined, the arms were newly designed. The upper half shows the arms of Baden and Speyer, as historically the area was part of the State of Speyer or Baden.

The base shows a bridge, as a symbol for the merger ofthe municipalities, and also refers to the Pfinz river.

Literature: John et al., 1990
