The two crossed palms are a traditional sign of the arms of the village, and they're an allusion to the martyr St. Vincent, the patron saint of Planoles, represented here also by the saltire. The two crossed candles are the attribute of St. Marcellus, the patron saint of Planès, the other main village in the municipality, annexed in 1967.
