Wappen von Plattling/Arms (crest) of Plattling
Official blazon
German Unter Schildhaupt mit den bayerischen Rauten in Silber auf schwarzem Dreiberg drei blaue natürliche Lilien an grünen Stängeln.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 9, 1506 by Duke Albrecht IV of Bayern. All later seals and images show the same arms.

The chief shows the diamonds of the Wittelsbach family, Dukes of Bayern. The lower part shows three natural lilies on a mountain. The lilies are likely a symbol of justice and thus a symbol for the local court. It may also have been that the lilies are gentians, a typical flower for the mountainous arera.
