Official blazon

Kultaisessa kentässä nouseva, musta, punakielinen karhu pidellen oikeassa kämmenessään kaateista sinistä ankkuria.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 1, 1952.

The arms show a bear, which is partly a canting element, partly derived from the arms of the city of Pori. The bear holds an anchor as a symbol of shipping and sailing.
