Official blazon

Escudo de vermelho, com um castelo de prata, realçado de negro aberto do campo. As torres laterais são rematadas cada uma por uma árvore de verde troncada de negro. O castelo é acompanhado em chefe por duas estrelas de prata de oito raios. Em contra-chefe duas mós de prata abertas do campo, sustendo dois guarda-rios, também de prata, realçados de negro. No pé do escudo tem três parras de ouro. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com os dizeres : " VILA DE PORTO DE MÓS ", de negro.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 14, 1986.

The millstones in the arms are canting, the Portuguese for millstone being mó. The name means Port of the millstones.
