Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on February 19, 1979.

The arms depict the characteristic shape of the Kulm mountain, which plays a major part in local folklore. The arms also depict six apples. These are also a local characteristic. The Puch municipality, formed by the unification of six older municipalities, is part of the Steirische Apfelstraße ('apple street'). The climate is favourable to fruit-growers.
