Amt (until 2007) : Vestsjælland (until 1970 Holbæk)
Incorporated into : 1970 Kalundborg

Coat of arms (crest) of Røsnæs

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered in 1962.

The arms show a lion's head and an arrow. The arms refer to the fact that Prince Valdemar the Younger died after a hunting accident in the area on November 28, 1231. The lion's head is the lion of Denmark.
