Official blazon

I blått et korset sølv kors.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 13, 1985.

The arms show a typical decoration on the pottery found in the area. The objects were made by the ancestors of the Sami people (Lapps) living in the area. The crosses probably indicate the four points of the compass.
