Official blazon

In front of an annulet azure surmounted by two towers of the same one in chief and one in base a frigate bird volant proper.
Motto: Auxilium trans mare = Support across the sea.

Origin/meaning

The Towers allude to the concept of Fortress UK and Fortress Falkland Islands with the flow and return of personnel and stores being indicating by the annulet. The Frigate-Bird, indigenous to the area has it's wings expanded over the sides of the annulet to show the vital role of the Air Force on the Island. The badge was granted in October 1983.
