Hopeakentässä punaisella hevosella ratsastava P. Martti leikkaamassa miekallaan kappaletta vii­ tastaan. Pyhimyksen kasvot ja kädet luonnonväri, puku smmen, viitta ja saappaat punaiset, m1ekka hopeaa sekä sädekehä ja tukka kultaa. Hevosen varustus ja varukset kultaa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 23, 1954.

The arms show the local patron saint, St. Martin. The arms are derived from the medieval seal of the city.
