Origin/meaning
The arms were designed and adopted in 1903.
The arms show a heraldic sea-lion within the bordure taken from the arms of the Princes of Fürstenberg. The sea-lion is taken from the arms of the Von Beringen family, to whim the village belonged until 1441 when they sold it to Fürstenberg.
