Description: On a brick red shield arced at top and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border a white wavy line fesswise abased surmounted by a gold brown demi-ram detailed maroon with white horns. Attached above the shield a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border and inscribed “RIVERSIDE” in brick red letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/ 4 inches (8.26 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/6 inches (2.70 cm) in height overall consisting of a silver shield with a silver ram’s head couped affronté detailed maroon above the inscription “RAMS” arcing in base in maroon letters. |
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Maroon and white are the school colors. The ram is the school mascot. The waves are representative of the local natural terrain and reflect the school’s name.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Maroon and white (silver) are the school colors. The ram is the school mascot.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved on 22 January 1996.
