Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 21, 2010.

The wavy bars represent the rivers Roșia and Amaradia, which cross and give the name of the commune.

The mountain and the entrance to the mine symbolize one of the basic occupations of the inhabitants, the extraction of coal from the Seciurile Quarry.

The oak branches and the bunches of grapes symbolize the forest and viticultural richness of the area and give the name of the villages Stejaru and Dealu Viei.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
