ROAN

Province : Sør-Trøndelag
Incorporated into : 2020 Åfjord

Official blazon

I blått tre oppflyvende sølv terner, 2-1.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 22, 1987.

The arms show three terns, which are chosen as an appropriate symbol for a coastal fishing village. The tern is also a very watchful and energetic bird, which is to symbolise the local inhabitants.
