Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a shield-shaped embroidered device edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border blazoned as follows: Per bend Gules and Azure, a bend in arc bearing three mullets (Silver Gray) above a fleur-de-lis in base all Argent. Attached above the shield a Red scroll inscribed “PATRIOTS” in Blue letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A silver color metal and enamel oval device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in width consisting of a red oval bearing a musket horizontally, muzzle facing to the left superimposed with a silver parade drum tilting to right detailed red with a red fleur-de-lis on the barrel of the drum and arcing above three stars in base metal. All encircled by a blue designation band and inscribed “ROBERT E LEE HIGH SCHOOL” at top and “PATRIOTS” at bottom in base metal letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Red, white and blue are the school’s colors. The three stars represent the rank of LTG Robert E. Lee. The fleur-de-lis symbolizes the heritage of Louisiana. The school mascot is the Patriot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Red, white and blue are the school’s colors. The stars represent the rank of LTG Robert E. Lee. The musket and the drum represent the mascot of the school, the Patriots. The fleur-de-lis represents the heritage of Louisiana.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approve on 6 October 2006.
