ROHRSEN
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Nienburg
Samtgemeinde : Samtgemeinde Heemsen
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 26, 1967.
The upper half shows the bullhorns derived from the arms of the Counts of Wölpe, who ruled the village for a long time. The wavy bar symbolises the Weser river. The base shows the fortress built in 1640 by the Swedish army during the thirty-years war, as part of the defence system around Nienburg. The fortress still exists.
