Über rotem Schildfuß, darin drei gestürzte goldene Pflugscharen, in Gold wachsend ein Bergmann, welcher in der Rechten einen Hammer und in der Linken eine silberne Grubenlampe hält.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1941.

The arms show a miner, as lignite mining has been of great importance in the history of the area. The three plough irons refer to the agricultural character of the village as well as the three villages Rositz, Gorma and Fichtenhainichen.
