RUISELEDE

Province : West-Vlaanderen

Wapen van Ruiselede

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 28, 1847 and confirmed on March 1, 1993.

The only historical seal of the village dates from 1791 and only shows the letter L. The above arms were derived from the arms of the Lords of Axpoele, as the village was part of the large Axpoele estate already in the 13th century.
