SĂLCUȚA
District/county (județ) : Dolj
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 24, 2019.
The willow refers to the etymology of the name of Sălcuța commune, which comes from the willow tree. The ceramic vessel symbolizes archaeological remains dating from the Neolithic, discovered in the area.
The scythe and the fork remind of the participation of the inhabitants in the peasant uprising from 1907. Poplar refers to the etymology of the name of the village Plopșor which comes from the poplar tree.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
