Saarijärvi Kuntavaakuna / Kommunvapen

Official blazon

Hopeakentässä kolme yläreunaltaan sahakoroista hirttä, joista keskimmäinen punainen, toiset mustia.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 14, 1954.

The arms are canting, the name means island-lake (saari = island, järvi = lake) and thus show some long forested islands in a lake.
