The falcon is canting: "sakalas", meaning "falcon" in Lithuanian. The ashlars and the cross refer to the key event in life of Salakas community in 1906-1911: the local priest Antanas Kryzanauskas encouraged the parish to build a new church. People brought with lorries a lot of stones, ashlars and built the church in less than 6 years.
