Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on November 9, 1964.

The wheel is a canting element for the wheel of St. Catherine.

The Bergwerkszeichen (miner's tools) are a symbol of mining, which was important in the past. The firs represent forest-culture, which is important nowadays.
