Wappen von Sankt Lambrecht/Arms (crest) of Sankt Lambrecht

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 30, 2016.

The new arms combine the miner from the old arms with the candles of the arms of St. Blasien.

The previous arms appear not to have been formally granted, but have been in use for several centuries. As the borough lies in the mining region of Upper Styria, the Bergknappe (miner) in his traditional white attire holding his tools is an obvious choice for a coat of arms.

The Benedictine monastery of St. Lambrecht, once the landlord of the market borough, uses another coat of arms.
