Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 5th August 1988.

The papal cross is the attribute of St. Gregory (pope, 6th-7th centuries), the local patron saint. The royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four pales Gules on Or) remind that the village was under the jurisdiction of the Crown.
