Escudo de vermelho, vieira de ouro carregada com uma cruz de Santiago do primeiro, sotoposta a um crescente de verde. Coroa mural de três torres de prata. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas: " SANTIAGO - TORRES NOVAS ".
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 18, 1994.
The scallop is the symbol of St. James (Santiago), the local patron saint. The cross and the crescent refer to the reconquest of Torres Novas by King Afonso Henriques (cross) over the Moors (crescent).
