Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat. În partea superioară, în câmp albastru, se află trei spice de grâu de aur flancate stânga-dreapta de două crenguțe de stejar cu ghinde de aur. În partea inferioară, în câmp de argint, se află un scaiete natural și un brâu undat albastru în vârful scutului. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Wheat ears mean the main occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture. The oak twigs with acorns represent the fact that the locality is located in an area rich in deciduous trees, where there is also a natural monument oak in the national heritage; it has existed since the end of the 18th century.

The thistle (scaiete) is a canting element. The wavy bar represents the Jiu River, which borders the commune.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
