In grün ein schwarzes Zahnrad, begleitet oben und unten von je einem silbernen Wellenbalken.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 1, 1921.

The arms indicate that Schötmar was an industrial centre (cogwheel) in the woods (green), with the two wavy bars symbolising the Werre and Bega rivers in the municipality.
