SCHERMBECK

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Wesel (until 1974 Rees)
Additions : 1974 Altschermbeck, Bricht, Damm, Dämmerwald, Gahlen, Overbeck, Weselerwald

Wappen von Schermbeck/Arms (crest) of Schermbeck
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1968 and again on December 21, 1977.

The upper part shows the arms of the counts of Kleve, and thus represents the fact that Adolf VI of Kleve granted several rights in 1430.
The lower part shows a canting element, a Back or Beck (stream).

The additions of 1974 did not change the arms.
