Official blazon

In goud drie palen van keel (Berthout). Achter het schild, ten halve oprijzend, de figuur van de H. Joannes de Doper van vleeskleur,met om het hoofd een nimbus van goud, gekleed van kemelshaar, dragende op de rechterarm het Lam Gods, en houdende in de linkerhand een houten kruisstaf, alles van natuurlijke kleur.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 18, 1970.

The arms show the arms of the Berthout family, Lords of the village in the 13th century. The supporter is St. John Baptist, the local patron saint.
