German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

SCHWARZENBERG

State : Sachsen
Incorporated into : 1994 Aue-Schwarzenberg (2008 Erzgebirgskreis)

Wappen von Schwarzenberg (kreis)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were never officially granted, but used from 1991-1994.

The dents are taken from the arms of the Schwarzenberg Estate and the cross in the base is derived from the arms of the Counts of Meissen from the Meinheringer dynasty. The arms thus combine symbols from the former rulers in the district.
